Os fãs do R.E.M. ganharam uma novidade nesta quinta-feira (06) e não se trata de uma volta da banda.
A relação do grupo britânico com a BBC ganhará um novo capítulo com o lançamento da coletânea R.E.M. at the BBC, que reunirá materiais especiais produzidos pela banda nos estúdios da principal rede de comunicação do Reino Unido.
A coleção contará com uma edição especial formada por 8 CDs e um DVD que contam com sessões especiais em programas da emissora, shows transmitidos ao longo de sua carreira como o Milton Keynes Monster Tour de 1995 e a apresentação da banda no Glastonbury de 1999, além de entrevistas e um episódio especial do Later… with Jools Holland dedicado ao R.E.M. que foi ao ar em 1998.
A edição especial ainda conta com um encarte especial que revela detalhes de cada um dos materiais presentes no box, além de declarações da banda ou de funcionários da BBC sobre momentos vividos com a banda.
Além do boxset, R.E.M. at the BBC poderá ser encontrada em formatos menores, intitulados The Best of R.E.M. at the BBC. Eles contarão com 2CDs ou 2LPs e também estarão disponíveis nas plataformas de streaming. Os fãs já podem adquirir a coletânea especial em pré-venda.
R.E.M. at the BBC chegará às lojas no próximo dia 19 de outubro.
